Abstract: We give an example of a unital commutative complex Banach algebra having a normalized state which is not a spectral state and admitting an extreme normalized state which is not multiplicative. This disproves two results by Golfarshchi and Khalilzadeh.

Abstract: This paper presents an elementary proof of Fermat’s Last Theorem using mathematics that was available to Fermat. It shows that equation an = bn + cn has no solution in natural numbers if a is prime or a power of a prime then uses that result to present a general proof.
