About This Special Issue
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has emerged as a pressing global health concern, threatening the efficacy of existing treatments and compromising our ability to combat infectious diseases. The alarming rise in multidrug-resistant bacteria, viruses, and fungi necessitates an urgent need for innovative therapeutic strategies and solutions. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, clinicians, and scientists to share cutting-edge research, discuss novel approaches, and explore interdisciplinary solutions to tackle AMR.
The primary goal of this Special Issue is to gather and disseminate knowledge on the latest advances in understanding AMR, identifying novel therapeutic targets, and developing effective treatment strategies.
We invite contributions that explore the complex interactions between microbes, hosts, and environments, focusing on:
(1) Novel antimicrobial compounds and analogs
(2) Antibiotic adjuvants and potentiators
(3) Alternative therapeutic approaches (e.g., phage therapy, antimicrobial peptides)
(4) Immunomodulatory strategies
(5) Vaccine development against AMR pathogens
(6) Diagnostic innovations for rapid detection and characterization
(7) Epidemiology and surveillance of AMR
(8) Economic and policy aspects of AMR mitigation
Types of articles welcomed: Original research articles, review articles, case studies, etc.
We invite researchers from diverse disciplines, including microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, epidemiology, and public health, to contribute to this Special Issue. Your contributions will play a vital role in advancing our understanding of AMR and developing effective solutions to combat this global health threat.

Through this Special Issue, we aim to:

  1. Foster collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and policymakers
  2. Provide insights into the latest advances in AMR research
  3. Identify knowledge gaps and future research directions
  4. Inform evidence-based policies and public health strategies
